About the event
SCOPE:
Political and economic coercion continued in the postcolonial era. Enduring exploitation, wars, and covert operations helped sustain the “Global Order,” increasing inequalities.
The countries trying to regain independence were condescendingly signified as “Under-Developed, Third World and Developing Countries”.
From the Bandung Conference (1955) to the formation of BRICS (2009) to its expansion today, the Global South has emerged as a force with an ambition to realign the global order away from Western dominance.
This Online Dialogue will delve into the potential power of the Global South and how it is challenging and reshaping the International Order.
